GRADUATE STUDENT EMPLOYMENT
Graduate students who are employed full-time (40 hours) at Virginia Tech or have graduate assistantships must seek appropriate approval from: (1) the Graduate School; (2) their graduate advisor; and (3) their graduate assistantship supervisor to work in SAASS.
It is the responsibility of the prospective graduate student employee to obtain the appropriate approvals and provide SAASS with the documentation of approval prior to an appointment in SAASS. If a graduate assistantship or university employment is obtained while working in SAASS, the graduate student employee must follow the approval procedures above to maintain employment in SAASS. Graduate student employment, for both new hires and continuing employees, will be determined on an as needed basis and will require approval from the Director of SAASS.
