What does being a student-athlete mean to you?
To me, being a student-athlete is being able to have a voice not only in my sport but also at my university. This opportunity to play at Virginia Tech has given me friends that I now call family, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. The life of a student-athlete isn’t easy, but the resources offered to us make it all worth it.
Where is your favorite study spot on campus?
Lane Stadium
What study skill or academic success tip/trick has helped you the most?
Don't wait until the last minute because all that will do is stress you out, and you won't produce your best work. The calendar in canvas is your friend; check it like a social media so you don't miss any upcoming assignments/tests. Another tip I have is to write your notes after you type them; this helps you remember what you're learning rather than just memorizing information.
What is your favorite course you have taken so far?
Literature for Children
What advice would you give yourself as a freshman?
I would tell myself that I don’t need to have everything figured out in the first year. Take a step back and just breathe because it’s going to be ok.
