What does being a student-athlete mean to you?
Being a student-athlete means everything to me. I have always dreamed of playing basketball at the collegiate level and the fact that I am able to play basketball at Virginia Tech while earning a degree is a blessing.
What study skill or academic success tip/trick has helped you the most?
Time management skills have helped me the most. As a student-athlete, I am super busy and sometimes it's hard to find time to do all of my school work. Being able to manage my time and not procrastinate helps me stay ahead and not stress as much about school.
What is your favorite course you’ve taken so far?
My favorite class that I have taken so far is intro to Biomedical Engineering. This is the first class that I have taken that ties specifically to my major and I enjoyed it.
"Taylor is an incredible example of a student-athlete. She works hard in the classroom and Biomedical Engineering major and sets an example for how to find the balance between athletics and academics. Taylor has gone through ACL reconstruction surgery twice, and she never let that deter her – if fact, she turned that experience into an internship in Biomedical Engineering this past summer!"
